The Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, visits sea turtle’s breeding area
Mr. Costas Kadis, Cuprus’ MOA Minister, visited the Natura 2000 area of Polis – Gialias and met representatives of the local authorities and was briefed on the implementation of the program for sea turtle’s protection. The Department of Fisheries and Marine Research (DFMR) and expert associates showed to the Minister the so far progress of the implementation of the program and was lucky enough to witness the release of some newly hatched sea turtles to the sea.
