No tolerance for violations of the law in relation to nature conservation
The Department of Fisheries and Marine Research (DFMR) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, expresses its surprise at the statements of a Member of Parliament who reacts to the implementation of the legislation ratified by the House of Representatives on the protected area “Lara” and which has been in force since 1989. Lara beach is a world-famous spawning ground for the Green Turtle (Chelonia mydas), and Caretta (Caretta caretta).
