The Department of Fisheries and Marine Research (DFMR) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, expresses its dissatisfaction, in relation to a publication on 4.3.2021, entitled “Organized beaches on turtle beaches”, with the announcements that followed from political parties and with the attempt of misinformation on the issue. In order to restore the correct information of the public, in relation to the creation of two mild forms of organized beaches in Argaka and Gialia, DFMR issued a statement clarifying the provisions and the subject around protected areas.
