A big step forward for marine turtle conservation in Greece: As a deliverable of the LIFE EUROTURTLES project (action A2), ARCHELON elaborated an Action Plan for Marine turtles with the collaboration of the Hellenic Ministry of the Environment. The legal document underwent public deliberation and was finally formally adopted and published on 10/8/2021 in the Government Gazette. The Ministry is planning to implement several of the most urgent of the Plan’s proposed conservation measures within a timeframe of 3 years, under the umbrella of the LIFEIP4Natura project. Several results of the LIFE EUROTURTLES actions were incorporated in the Action’ Plan text.
