LIFE Euroturtles held yesterday a public event at Brijuni National Park in Croatia during the the 6th Mediterranean Conference on Marine Turtles aiming at presenting the new GSM transmitter developed within the project to the scientific community.
The University of Primorska and Croatian Natural History Museum as partners to LIFE Euroturtles held yesterday a public event at Brijuni National Park in Croatia during the the 6th Mediterranean Conference on Marine Turtles aiming at presenting the new GSM transmitter developed within the project to the scientific community. During the event a loggerhead sea turtle was released.
The turtle “Lunga” was rehabilitated at the Sea turtle rescue centre in Aquarium Pula following an injury to the head, and was now ready to return to the sea.
Lunga was equipped with the new GPS-GSM tracking device developed within the project, which will enable researchers to follow her movements.
